Ekoskola members are elected by each class and represent their class at meetings with the Assistant Head and teachers. They work hand in hand to contribute ideas and work on projects to raise awareness on the integration of education of sustainable development (ESD) within the school environment. Over the years the Junior School has been bestowed the Green Flag which is testament of the commitment and dedication to the project.

Ekoskola LitterLess Campaign 2020-2021
Our school is taking part in a LitterLess Campaign entitled ‘Material Matters Dispose Wisely’. Here is a Virtual Art Exhibition we have set up! Following the great turnout we had for the Mascot Drawing Challenge, the SJJS Ekoskola Committee decided to showcase not just the winning mascot, but all the great artworks the girls at our school did to promote this year’s LitterLess theme: Material Matters – Dispose Wisely and to share powerful messages on how to take care of our environment.
Ekoskola 2020 – 2021
The Green Flag was bestowed to St. Joseph Sliema Juniors for the 5th consecutive year.
We are once again honoured to have been awarded the prestigious Green Flag which is testament to our commitment to the environment. The Ekoskola Committee, together with all those who attend our school worked tirelessly to promote initiatives for a greener community. The Committee put together a report highlighting all the hard work carried out throughout the year. An evaluation visit concluded that our school deserved to be bestowed the Green Flag – an achievement we are very proud of!
