Ekoskola

What is Ekoskola?

Ekoskola gives children the opportunity to learn, organise and direct activities at school related to the environment. It involves a group of children and teachers who take an active role in improving the quality of life and the environment. They raise awareness of environmental issues.

Ekoskola members are elected by each class. Elected committee members represent their class at meetings with the Assistant Head and other Ekoskola educators. They work hand in hand to contribute ideas and work on projects to raise awareness on the integration of education of sustainable development (ESD) within the school environment,

6th Green Flag Award

We are once again honoured to have been awarded the prestigious 6th Green Flag which is testament to our commitment to the environment. The Ekoskola Committee, together with all those who attend our school worked tirelessly to promote initiatives for a greener community. The Committee put together a report highlighting all the hard work carried out throughout the year. An evaluation visit concluded that our school deserved to be bestowed the Green Flag – an achievement we are very proud of!
