About our school
St Joseph Junior School is located in Sliema, a city on the northeast coast of Malta. The school is a Roman Catholic Church School run by the Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition.
The Junior School welcomes girls from all over Malta between the ages of 4 and 11. Children start their years in school in Pre-Grade and finish in Grade 6 after which they automatically move to the Senior School. At present there are 340 children on roll. Our school day starts at 8.00 am with Morning Assembly and finishes at 1:30 pm Class teachers are responsible for the children’s welfare and delivery of the curriculum. Work is planned jointly in Year Teams of two members of the teaching staff. In this way, we are able to utilise the strength of all our staff and enhance the quality of learning and teaching here at St Joseph Junior School.
Our Mission Statement
“Believe and Achieve”
Inspired by Gospel values and the teachings of St Emilie, our schools aim at creating a team of dedicated professionals to give our girls a holistic education, developing their individual,
intellectual, spiritual, emotional, creative and physical potential to the full in the knowledge that such gifts come from a loving God who asks us to use them for our good and that of others.
