The Junior School Curriculum
Following the National Curriculum Framework (2012) principles, our school strives to focus on the potential of all children. We believe that education cannot take a one-size-fits all curriculum approach and must cater for the diverse needs and learning abilities of all children. Teaching and learning needs to be more learner-centred and moulded according to the children’s abilities to learn. As a school, we do our best to offer our support all our educators by providing them the necessary training, resources, space and continuous professional support to foster a professional learning environment amongst our educators.
At our school, our students learn various subject, skills and values through various approaches adopted by the teachers. A hands-on approach as well as making use of our outdoor space are highly encouraged at our school. The subjects learned in the junior years include: Mathematics, English, Maltese, Science, Religion, Social Studies, ICT, Art, Creative Arts, PE and PSHE. The school also employs a Literacy Teacher and a Complementary Teacher to assist and support students’ literacy skills.
